BWI Travel Tips
If you are driving to the Airport to catch a plane, allow an extra two hours minimum-to park, so to reach the terminal in time for check-in. 

Consider using ground transportation (Limousine service 1-301-218-8103, AMTRAK, MARC trains or the Light Rail.) 

Do not leave your vehicle unattended on the terminal's upper or lower level roadway. Do not leave luggage unattended in the terminal at any time. 

Have a photo ID ready for check-in if you are flying.

BWI Security Tips 
Airlines advise travelers to check in 1 ˝ hours before their flight's departure time. Once through the check-in and security process, passengers should be in their gate area AT LEAST 30 MINUTES prior to your scheduled departure. (Be careful not to be late if stopping to shop or for a cup of coffee once through security.)

All curbside check-in services have resumed at BWI. This service allows passengers with paper and electronic tickets to check in their luggage, bypass the ticket counters and proceed to the security screening areas. No parking or waiting at the curb. Airport police allow only immediate pickup and drop-off of passengers on airport roadways.

Driving Directions
Interstate 195 serves the Terminal directly. To connect to Interstate 195: From Washington DC, take New York Avenue north (follow Baltimore-Washington Parkway signs). Bear left onto the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, heading north, until you see signs for Interstate 195/BWI. Bear right and follow Interstate 195 to the airport. From Arlington, take US 50 west to Beltway (Interstate 495), take the Beltway north to Interstate 95, follow Interstate 95 north until you hit the Interstate 195/BWI exit, and take Interstate 195 to the airport. From Alexandria, follow the Beltway (Interstate 495) east and north until you hit Interstate 95, continue north on Interstate 95 to the Interstate 195/BWI exit, and follow Interstate 195 directly to the airport. From Baltimore, take Russell Street south to the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, follow the B-W Parkway south to the junction with Interstate 195, and merge left off the Parkway onto Interstate 195 for the airport.

Washington Ronald Reagan National Airport

Information and help desks Traveler's Aid facilities are located in Terminal A (tel: 703 417 3972), and in Terminals B and C (tel: 703 417 3974).

Airport Facilities
ATMs are located in all Terminals. Customer service centers (tel: 703 417 3200 or 3201) in Terminals B and C provide foreign currency exchange, insurance, fax, photocopying, notary and other services. There is a dry cleaning shop, newsagents, gift shops and other retail outlets, as well as a wide range of restaurants, bars and cafés.

From Virginia and Richmond: take Interstate 95 North to Interstate 395 North and take exit 10 (GW Parkway South) to the airport exit. From Manassas and other westerly locations: take Interstate 66 East, Route 110 South to Route 1 South, then on to the airport exit. From Maryland, Baltimore & Prince George's County: take Interstate 95 South over Woodrow Wilson Bridge, take Route 1 North, then on to the airport exit. From Washington DC: take Interstate 395 South, then GW Parkway South to the airport exit.
